Jagged Baptist Club announce their brand new album ‘Physical Surveillance’ (pre-order here), set for release November 15th via Nice Swan Records (English Teacher, Sprints, Chalk), and share brand new single ‘You Are A Dog’, out today (August 6th).
Teaming with the revered indie label (and marking the first album ever released on Nice Swan Records), Jagged Baptist Club’s raw and exuberant energy has undoubtedly amplified their growing popularity, with their musical eccentricities already drawing welcome comparisons to the likes of Blur, Public Image Limited, The Rapture and Division of Laura Lee in recent times.
Having travelled to Joshua Tree California in 2023 to record their forthcoming record with esteemed producer Alex Newport (At the Drive-In, Bloc Party, City and Colour), the frenzied quartet are primed to build on early plaudits from key indie champions (Rough Trade), and considerable radio support across the BBC 6 Music (Steve Lamacq), KCRW, and Radio X (John Kennedy) airwaves. Whilst on the live front, the band will be showcasing their new material at a series of LA shows this month, building on previous shows alongside English Teacher and SPRINTS (2024 West Coast US tour support).

Detailing their second LP reveal, enigmatic frontman Blake Stokes explained: “ I just imagined Shaun Ryder writing the screenplay for a Crank movie, just a collection of wild scenes and surreal images, again keeping it simple. See you in the pit, let’s get to shoving.”
